A "Fish and Poi" God of Miracles

SLHfishandpoi.jpg

Salt + Light `Ohana,

What impossible situation are you in right now?  Do you have the faith to believe God will accomplish a miracle in the situation?

This Sunday, we will learn in the book of John how Jesus multiplied a few fish and loaves (or fish and poi in Hawaii) to feed over 5,000 hungry people!  Join us online and come and see how Jesus will help stretch, grow and multiply your little into a lot!

Are you ready for Jesus to do a miracle in your life?

Bringing my fish and poi to Jesus,

Pastor Max

Help Victims of Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is on the rise during the statewide quarantine.  Local shelters are at maximum capacity and help is needed more than ever before.  Our church can help victims of domestic violence by donating items to a local women’s shelter in the Honolulu area through Child and Family Service.

Items include, twin sheets, pillows, towels, toiletries, slippers, and clothing (for women and children only).

If any of you would like to donate any items, please contact Pastor Max Fowler at:  max@saltandlighthawaii.org

Donations can be dropped off to Pastor Max’s home in Liliha (625-E Kunawai Lane) or picked up from your home.  Items need to be donated by Monday, May 25th.  Mahalo!

Bless a Business

During these challenging times, many local businesses are suffering.  Our mother church, Kaka'ako Christian Fellowship, has launched an initiative to bless our locally-owned and locally-operated businesses through prayer, patronage, and promotion.  Please check out https://www.kcfhawaii.org/bless for a list of the participating local businesses, as well as info on how to pray for them, how to patronize, and how to share this with others.  Please contact Jim at jtmiyashiro@gmail.com if you have any questions.
